Wesley is some else if he's not blocking McGinns goal bound effort he's now fucking up in his challenging so goal is disallowed.

Never finds him or he never near it
His attempt was pathetic as usual in

Yawn yawn yawn. When are you going to call him hopalong again?

I can only assume he’s wesleys son from when he was 14 and hasn’t had enough attention.

VAR is fucking shit. My natural reaction when we score now is not to celebrate, but to quickly rack my brain looking for any tiny reason why it might be overturned.

As for the game itself, we were very poor up until the sending off. Brighton found space so easily between our midfield and defence. Keeping hold of the ball almost at will. We've done well since the sending off because we upped the tempo, which is the way to play with a numerical advantage.

We now need to ensure we don't let another opportunity against 10 men fall through our fingers.

hate this VAR   ruining the game

so I run round the room when Conor scores shouting yes yes yes and then disallowed

and then when Jack scores I dont cheer and just wait a few seconds first , shouting a feeble get in 10 seconds later

its ruining the celebrations

Genuine lol. Sums up the farce that it is.

Moreover, VAR isn’t going to overturn a referees judgement. Conor’s yellow that led to the goal was a perfectly fine tackle. However, VAR isn’t going to overrule the man in the middle. It’s ridiculous quote frankly. If you’re not going to try and get right, what exactly are you trying to do, ya know?

Var is crap - what part of clear and obvious error is to be used? We dont get advantage of it, and it is over interpreted against us (it was never a foul!!!)

VAR is crap not only is it taking away the emotion of the game, it's giving crap decisions. Well done Jack.

The problem is numpties like Atkinson evaluate controversies in slow motion.. and in slow motion it looked like Wesley swings a wild elbow into the keeper sparking a reaction and appeal.

It’s not a realistic way to assess what happen. Wesley was off his feet first and went straight up. Its a completely fair play.

There was barely an appeal from the Brighton players. They obviously didn't see an infringement.

The quality of officiating at this level is cynically poor. It’s almost like they wind us up to make sure we watch the post-match shows.
It wouldn't surprise me. What is it they say on all those detective films - follow the money trail ;-)

It really is fucked up, I don’t see how the egregious errors only are to be reversed if they review every goal to look to see if there is any reason whatsoever to reverse the decision.

I respect your opinion Vill I An, but I feel like Wesley has shown some really impressive signs here and there. He's not been an embarrassment by any stretch, for me. Lots of time for him to come good.

How do we go about getting VAR scrapped then?

Unfortunate any touch on a GK will be given as foul.

Grealishhhhh!!!
Lovely !!!

Give it a fucking rest.

Ok I will
We can all see for ourselves
But I hear you .
No more gripes
And in respect to him he was well involved for the equaliser in showing for it and laying off
So well done

But have to say Jack Grealish has been unbelievable today.
Brighton can't live with him !!
Fully deserves the goal.
He picked it up in his own half played it off to Wes and then got into penalty area qnd 6 yard box and lovely slide slow mo for ball to go in

As I say we'll go on and hammer them now !
And ok PWS I'll stop the Wesley moaning I just hoped for more !
Maybe 2nd half !
Up the villa !

P... ...

Was it a foul or not though - genuine question.
