that was an unexpectedly nervy finish, with 18 balls to go it looked like we'd win but 10-15 runs but the brookes/sterling over was horrific.

Watched the Bears on my iPad and the Roses match on TV. Two great games, a tie in one and credit to Craig Miles for coming back from a very poor start to the last over in the other.

You Bears!

Yes, I thought the game was over when Derby went 5 down but it was surprisingly entertaining.

I wasn’t sure about some of the field placing that seemed to cost us runs and that Brookes/Stirling over was abysmal.

I don’t get to see a lot of Warwick games these days but for those that do, is Brookes still seen as a good prospect? He’s been pretty underwhelming whenever I’ve seen him play.

Bears are home to Durham with both teams in yellow and blue, earlier the commentator said it's hard to tell the difference and started talking about the need for away kits, not sure how the fact 2 of them are in pads and holding fucking bats isn't enough.

On the game Bears have bowled really well and done a great job of breaking up partnerships, just taken the 8th wicket ...

134/8 after 18

finished at 158/9 which is probably 20-30 runs light on this wicket, bowling was excellent.

Bars innings starting now.

Good recovery from 36-4 in the 5th over to win by 5 wickets off 16.5 overs. Three out of three and whilst it’s very early in the season there’s a quality squad at Edgbaston, a good mix of hitters and finishers with the bat and a good variety in the bowling attack. We are in for an interesting few weeks.

Good win by the Bears! Why didn't Sam Hain play today? He's a vital cog in this T20 team. Hopefully it's nothing serious......

Anyone want Pears Bears tickets for Friday? I have three spare. Paid £30 each will take £15. I can email them over I think so no need to worry about meeting up (though I can do that if it's easier).
