Usual performance from him last night.  Very good at moving the ball and starting attacks, interspersed with the odd poor moment of being caught in possession, and being weak defensively.  Overall I like him though, he's got great quality.  I think Nakamba will come back in against Man U though, just not sure if he'll replace Luiz or Hourihane.

Correct.  Just because you have subs doesn't mean you have to use them.  Luis played very well last night.  Yes, he got caught on the ball a few times but that's understandable as he tries to adjust to the pace of this league. He'll improve on that aspect quick enough.

Thinking back, that's the same problem Petrov had when he first came here - he'd be a second or so behind the flow of the game much of the time and was obviously used to having more time on the ball in Scotland.

Luiz is a talented player, he'll adapt to that in time, but it's only, what, less than a dozen games into his career in the PL, he's going to need a bit of time yet.

I thought he was absolute class in the 1st half, kept the whole thing ticking along nicely. Got caught a couple of times when they pressed early in the second half but in fairness a couple of the balls to him were hospital passes and a couple he got no shout from his teammates. He’s still adjusting but there was one ball over the defence to Grealish in the 1st half that was utterly brilliant.

I agree, you can see the talent is there, and once he beds in properly he'll be a quality player.

The other thing I like about him is he's got a great eye for a shot.  Power and direction with a bit of whip.  A great skill.

I like him and he played well last night,  but still not sure exactly what he is.

He’s not that great defensively, can be slow to get back on the right side of an attacker. I think he’s more of an 8 really.

This. He'll get better and better for us. A classy player.

Best game for us by a long way today and still messed up two goals. Attitude like most of them was thoroughly transformed today compared to recent games. Got around the park a lot better too.

He is going to be an excellent player. I think it’s forgotten sometimes that he is still very young (Callum O’Hare is just older) and therefore still very much learning, so some inconsistencies are to be expected. Probably our second most comfortable player with the ball behind Jack.

Was very impressed today, controlled, disciplined, excellent pressing, good with the ball and supported The front men well, just a shame about his two chances.

Big portion of humble pie consumed. Severely doubted his box to box fitness during the Southampton match but seemed well up to speed against Burnley. Keep it going Dougie!

Was hoping for a bit better with that low shot from the edge of the box, went for placement. Probably running knackered but lacked composure too for that late lob, rushed it. Can't be too critical, worked hard, some deft touches around midfield at times. Is evolving and would love to see if he can put away more in front of goal, definitely has it in him.

He's just getting his feet in the league, he'll be a very decent player.
