How did we do and who wore claret? Stevie Staunton must have got a mixed reaction.

We won as I recall, can't remember the score though.  I really don't remember too much about it at all apart from the drive there and back.  The highway infrastructure back then was terrible as you probably know.  Staunton was reasonably well received, as were the whole club.

Would love to see us wearing a sponsorless retro Villa kit

I took my kids up to see Villa play Drogheda in a pre-season friendly in, I think 1994.

Drogheda looms large in my ancestry. My great grandfather blew up the railway bridge in the war of independence. He had no real agenda but he was a quarryman so knew his way around a stick of dynamite, and was therefore in great demand. In many ways he was the Michy Batshuayi of his day.

Anyway, Kappa. I'm not too bothered either way.

Ha! I thought I was the only Dundalk fan on here. Slightly off topic I went on an early uefa cup tie between them and varteks. Their fans loved the villa and seemed to be great guys. Met us at the hotel with beers and food on arrival etc. Ah memories!

I would love an Adidas kit, they're superb.

Isn't Sawiris on their board?
I think his shareholding in Adidas means he holds 12.5% of the company. It’s one of my favourite Bluenose wind ups when I see them in their Adidas kits , I always thank them for making one of our owners wealthier 😂

The actual logo on their website still has the two sitting back to back (though there's nothing wrong with that, if they live together).

This Dundalk supporter says hi.

Up the Town! Milltown is a car park, Milltown is a car park.... ;)

Longford Town would be my closest LOI team but lived with 2 lads from Dundalk in Uni plus my uncle's from just over the border in South Armagh so have a soft spot for them.

60% off all Villa kits at the minute if that's of any interest to anyone.

Is that 60% of it falls off if you wear it?

I quite like these, £50 seems a touch steep though
