That last goal was an absolute embarrassment for him.  He should be made to watch that on a half hour loop on Monday.

Pathetic he was for that. Also in first half, barely able to clear the ball with his right foot again. Konsa already seems far better than him.

Agreed, as much as I love Ming’s attitude for the game & especially playing for Villa... he doesn’t do himself any favors sometimes..  he is no Maldini by a long stretch but surely JT can pull him to one side & just show him the errors of his ways... as there is still room for a lot of improvement. - let’s hope he heeds the advice.

First goal he's completely the wrong side of Bamford, and fails to mark him completely.  Second goal he seems to duck move out of the way of the shot a bit, like he did at the back end of last season.  Third one it's like he's stuck in quicksand and just watches as Bamford bends one in.  Not his finest night by a long stretch.

I’m sorry but I can’t read that without Yoda popping up in my head.

Really really poor today. I don’t know whether when he’s lacking confidence it manifests itself by looking really sloppy and careless, but whatever the reason he has to have the awareness to realise when he’s not on his game and limit the excessive risk taking accordingly.

In most other eras he'd be nowhere near the England squad. Will be a liability if he actually starts at euros.

He's a decent defender who's helped us rise over last two years so we should remain thankful for that and he'll continue to have good games for us but put him under sustained pressure and he'll lose a runner or give away the ball so more Vlaar standard than some of the best CBs we've had since mid 90s.

Absolutely bobbins I thought. If we had any reserves worthy of the name you'd stick him in the stiffs for that. Not for the first time either.

Of any of the things might be said about Mings, a lack of confidence is not one that comes readily into my mind.

It’s the opposite to a lack of confidence, he’s just not remotely as good as he thinks he is. He’s got the attention span of Titus Bramble.

Bad day at the office today, seemed away with the fairies at times. Needs to be on his game next time round.

If he keeps having bad days at the office can we put him on furlough?

I think we are guilty as fans of elevating likes of Mings or McGinn to a status beyond their actual ability. Both are very good players but none are at the very top level. And sometimes they play to that level but many times they will fall well short. But most of the time they will give us performances that are exactly who and what we are right now. Middle table and not more. In time we need to bring in players better than them if we are to truly advance.

Does seem too far too casual at times. Needs to add a bit of Alan Evanseque no nonsense defending to his game at times. On a side note and more of an irritant than anything else, his constant chewing of gum whilst playing is not a good example to be setting to the younger generation.

Abysmal today, positioning was shite and concentration on the basics downright poor. Every time he comes back from England he looks a shower of shite.
