And in those two games he has played Goals for 10, Goals against 0.

Tomori looks a really good player and I've no problem with Southgate including him in the mix for the future.

Absolutely, but he only gets the favourable comments by playing for Chelsea.

If Mings was there, he'd been England captain material by now.

It wouldn't surprise me if he was left out against Leicester.

We need to talk about Tyrone.  It's not like he's playing badly, but he just seems to have a completely avoidable brain fart at least once or twice a game at the moment.  I wouldn't leave him out, yet, but bring Engels back as baby-sitting Konsa might be adding more pressure on him.

Definitely a better player with Engels alongside him.

I reckon there's a good chance it will be Mings and Engels. Mings is so frustrating, so much good stuff from him but then so prone to basic mistakes. I don't know if it's over confidence or just that he loses concentration but he needs to work on it as his mistakes tend to be real brain farts rather than just the kind of error all players make.

Yes, if he was routinely getting beaten in the air, or outpaced, or dribbled past by better players, you could sort of accept that.  But it's always unnecessary errors like keeping hold of the ball too long, or terrible back passes to put a team mate under pressure.  It's almost like he hasn't realised that the Premier League is a massive step up, and doesn't have the time and space he had in the Championship.

Tyrone needs to go back to basics.

I get the feeling when he first got a call up for England he had a chat with Southgate who told him he got called up for his ball playing ability. Since then he's been overplaying in every game and now gets caught out.

He's no Beckenbauer at this level. Maybe in the championship but even then he was still hitting it long when under pressure.

If he goes back to that then he's a pretty good defender in many other aspects. For example we don't concede many from corners (except for Sunday) and he's a big part of that with his aerial ability.

You would hope that a certain member of our coaching staff would be having that exact conversation with him.

Maybe they have but he's chosen to ignore it. Guess then only a game or two on the bench would wake him up but don't think it's anywhere near that bad, we'd miss his leadership at the back for a start.

Like many we've had his level has dipped since England games. Gareth Barry for example usually turned in flat games for us straight after England matches and his consistancy was generally brilliant for us.

Lot of mistakes last night which he was fortunate didn't directly lead to goals. He is in danger of his good work being overshadowed by the consistent calamities. Sort it out Tyrone.

I thought he didn't take as many chances last night with the ball and put the ball out of play a couple of times. Putting that ball out for a corner in the second half with his right foot was poor but not a hanging offence. I'm struggling to recall many other mistakes to be honest so surprised to see as much criticism on here of him last night. Excellent in the air and his recovery pace was crucial a few times.

Konsa was all over the place next to him, Targett got destroyed at left back and our midfield was beaten all ends up second half. Thought Mings was reasonably solid in the circumstances.

Big Tyrone is still pretty wet behind the ears at this level. He's still pretty young, not blessed with a wealth of experience because of injuries. He can't be babysitting Konsa (who I think will be an excellent player in a year or two). He looks better with Engels (who's been our best CH this season).  He's gonna be making the mistakes he didn't have game time to iron out in the last few years. That said he'll need to learn quick.

For me, John Terry needs to be working more closely with Tyrone and really re-drilling into him some basics. He's too influential (and good when he's focused) to drop right now. If Chester's done for I'd be looking to get him off the books and perhaps bringing in an experience CH who's done the rounds a bit who could come in for certain games and keep tabs on our back line. That's not to say someone prone to injury of course. We need someone still physically up to scratch but with more miles clocked in big games.

Love Tyrone but he needs to up the intensity and concentration. Engels back Sunday as Konsa got shown up on Wednesday.
