Where does SJM play for Scotland.
Surely we should be pushing him up the pitch as he is one of a few players that might actually score.

We don't usually say it as we tend to pay over the odds but mcginn has to be one of our biggest ever bargains. A real gem.

I think he may go for big money next summer if one of the big boys comes calling .

If we stay up this season (which we will), with our owners we will be one of the big boys.

Every indication is that they're being cautious this season, then when we stay up it's stratosphere time

It's the staying up bit that is key, and if their caution sends us down, then it's another year wasted and having to completely rebuild.

For club and country, McGinn has scored as many goals this season as Lionel Messi.

(I'm just posting this before the latter, inevitably, scores today).

We have the January transfer window to address our concerns - you honestly think they will not invest and the management team have not identified their targets?

I was hoping SJM wouldnt play in one of their games, seeing as he looked pretty knackered before he went off with them.

Fingers crossed he's bang at it on Monday night.

I hope so.  But then I didn't think they'd leave us so short up front during the summer window, so who knows.

Grealish's absence is similar to Sid's lack of call-ups.
Really? - I don't think Grealish has yet played anything like enough top-flight games, in the way that Sid had. Maybe by the end of this season he'll have provied himself.

Not sure if this has already been posted but it certainly brought a smile to my face. Brilliant stuff.

I see Bruce thinks John is only good enough for a mid table team:

“Newcastle manager and former Villa boss Steve Bruce claimed McGinn was currently performing "at Man United level" such have been his high standards of late”

And people wonder why he gets so much stick.

I've seen Bruce say McGinn was probably his best ever signing but I'm sure I've read somewhere that it was the owners who wanted to bring him in and Bruce was reluctant. Has anybody else seen similar?
