Yesterday was just awesome at the Giro.  And now on the verge of a grand tour win for a Brit who shouldn’t be in the running.   Yet hardly a mention of it in the media.  Disappointing.

It's ridiculous.

I grew up with Le Tour as that was the only cycling the British media gave any attention to because Britain had such little representation.

But since things have moved on, British cycling has improved beyond recognition, and the plethora of TV channels means you can watch almost any professional race I much prefer the Giro to Le Tour.

The individual stages seem more brutal, more beautiful and there seems to be less opportunity for certain teams to dominate. The way Rohan Dennis absolutely blew the peloton apart single-handedly up Sestriere way phenomenol and makes for fabulous entertainment.

Wasn’t even close in the end, what a ride, absolutely smashed it.

Great performance by TGH.  A good tour for Ineos all round despite losing Thomas at the start.

A phenomenal tour!

They lost their leader three days in, won 7 stages and won the GC. It literally doesn't get any better than that.

What a squad as well next season - TGH, Thomas, Egan Bernal, Rohan Dennis and Adam Yates inbound. They could win everything next year. And that ignores the likes of Ganna who just won a 17 minute TT by more than 30 seconds!!!

Up there with Wiggins in 2012.

What a great grounded guy.

I remember debating a few years ago on here the absurdity of team Sky and their riders and the chance of them being clean. Does anyone still believe that Froome and/or Wiggins and the others were clean? The Freeman trial is a tiny glimpse of the tip of an iceberg with that lot.

The biological passport makes it pretty much impossible to get away with cheating.

I think the crop of the past decade are clean.

I live close to the estate where he grew up, or was living in his teens, it is not an area that is conjunctive to cycling so his determination to succeed must to off the scale.

Fair play to the him, I’d guess he is not coming from a family where he was afforded the luxury of decent bikes and no pressure to ‘get a real job’.

I still have my doubts about Froome, not his time at Sky but prior to this.

Hugh Carthy with a third place finish at the Vuelta.  Another Brit making a big impression in the peloton.

Unfortunately, the 2021 Tour de Yorkshire will be postponed until 2022.

It was a difficult decision to make but given the developing COVID-19 situation,
@welcome2yorks
 and
@amaurysport
 will instead focus on bringing the #TDY race back bigger and better than ever in 2022.

Next year isn't looking good is it?

Pidcock just beat Van Der Poel in a Belgium CX event. He could become the next Brit cycling great.

MvtP just sprinted away from current world champ Alaphillipe on the final climb into Siena to claim Strade Bianche win. Unbelievable power.
