Ashley Giles gives more info about the Worcester flood plain AKA New Road.

It would be a shame if they had to leave New Road but understandably leaving is an option.

It is mad the amount of floods in the last 20 years…ECB will have got rid of the Worcesters / Leicesters to Minor Counties level before they need to make the decision to leave NR…bound to be a ‘Strauss Review’ suggesting 8 test ground based counties within the next few years.

Do think Worcester should think about moving. The ground is under water most of the time.

Shame, as it is a nice venue.

Gloucestershire legend Mike Proctor has died at 77.

He and ‘Z’ were my favourite cricketers as a kid

Proctor was the top all-rounder of the 70s. A devastating bowler in one-day cricket for Glaaaaaaaaster.

Just catching up on the news that Duncan Fearnley has died.

I had their bats when I was an average club player back in the day so out of idle curiosity I looked on their website at their latest offerings. They have cricket bats for £800! I had a DF Magnum which was top of the range and cost me £75 in about 1987. How times change!

DF bats were all the rage in the 80's, there doesn't seem to be any pros using them now... all club cricketers by the looks of their website.

New hotel and stands being redeveloped at Edgbaston.

I can see why they want the hotel but redeveloping the stands without increasing capacity seems a little pointless.

Yes, there is so much demand for Eng international tickets. You could easily build a 40k stadium there and at a few other grounds. Maybe they will add more seat to the remaining stand at the City end.
