Not strictly programmes (well not at all actually) but Ive just received the Sports Argus 57/58 Annual (bought off Ebay) A cracking delve into Midlands nostalgia.Lots about our Cup winning exploits against the odds. I was surprised to read that our much loved neighbours across the city achieved a 2-1 victory against Inter Milan in the Fairs Cup.Ron Atkinson before he joined us played for BSA Tools and Wolves!I bet most of the older supporters bought the Annual each year. Worth every penny of the 1/6 they charged.
I have the Antwerp away programme from 1975. I think this is quite rare and worth a bit of money?
i have the besiktas away from 1983 , the only thing i returned with apart from the clothes i was standing in and a passport
I have the away surrender at CSKA programme. Not sure it's worth anything mind, it's a fairly shoddy programme.
I used to have every Lge and cup game, home and away, plus most friendlies and postponements from May 1956 when I was born, until the end of 83/4 season, plus quite a few FA cup ties from 1945-56. I sold the lot to Reg Thacker to make room in the back bedroom for the arrival of my first lad, in July 84. I still wake up in a cold sweat nearly thirty years later, regretting the day I sold them. Some of the early LC ties are rarer than rocking horse shit, as are some of the third division aways. Most home games in the last forty years aren't worth much and most dealers wouldn't buy them off you, unless it was part off a collection, with a few rarities in it.
