Yes, looks like it, the Man City game was in January.

Sadly, we seemed to have lost another channel some months ago.....the heavyroller....featured many matches including England
back in the 1950's and also a couple of Villa games in the early 1960's.
Rare to find any Villa material during that entire decade, probably the most notable was that home 2-6 caning versus Chelsea
in September 1966 with those Blue Submarine caterwauling cockneys massed in the Trinity Road paddock.
I think it was Tony Hateley's final game for us and his departure pretty much condemned us to an abysmally feeble relegation come season's end.

We are on again this Saturday - away at Spurs - not a good one to watch

Only just got round to watching that. Wasn't one of our best days that season but incredibly windy weather didn't make for a cohesive game. Gary Shaw still oozed class nevertheless.

On the same programme was Manchester United against Ipswich. Watching that you realise how much we take for granted nowadays the quality of the pitches Premier League clubs play on. That was at Old Trafford in early Spring, not a non league ground in January yet the pitch was in shocking condition to play passing football.

If you watch the Villa v Man Utd game after that they show Sheffield United -you want to see their pitch!!

It looked like the Baseball Ground in the mid 70s.

Yes, the Blades' pitch was a real mud-heap.

It may be worth watching this Saturday as it is showing the final day of the 80-81 season - interviews on the coach after the game with Sir Ron and a few of the players
