Refunds

I'm looking to buy some tickets as a Lions member for the Brighton match, but there is a chance I may not be able to attend (son's sixth form college interview) but we won't know until the week of the game. I appreciate reselling tickets is a no no these days.
Of course I can buy and hope; I can wait and see but is there an option to buy now and get money back through the club, the ticket website mentions a deadline for refunds - is this in reference to season tickets only?
