Can’t believe there’s a footy thread here! Footy as in what us Melburnians usually refer to as footy.

Screw your Brisbane! Now we have 12 months of “the filth” that being Collingwood, Australia’s fanbase equivalent of the Bluenoses yapping at every given opportunity and level on 16 premierships with my Essendon and those Carlton scumbags.

Don't pay much attention, but Brisbane seem to be winning most of their games easily, going by Twatter.

Sydney are making the running this year but have a slight glass jaw. Annoyingly Carlton and Essendon are in the top four. Sadly Richmond are bottom of the pile - hopefully they'll use that to their advantage in the draft for next season.

Blood stained angels for mine today. Bit of hype surrounding Brisbane who are very hard to write off, have been on a great run and had great form lines in the back half of the season but Neale will have to push through heel soreness, Payne carrying something, Hipwood hasn’t done a heap although they’ll find goals elsewhere. I just think the Swans have a bit too much class all over the park and get up by about 4 goals.

Technically a Brisbane Lions fan, due to the colours and them being Lions (and formerly Bears).
Lost in Grand Final last year, so hoping for one better today.

Well done Brizzy!

I only watch highlights now and again tbh.

Came to really dislike Hawthorn. Mainly as their players looked so scummy.

I don't watch at all but I must have searched for it recently because Google told me the final was on this morning

I'd like to claim insight here but it's more a case of a stopped clock being right twice a day.
