A truly lovely read, but surely the church was on the corner of Avenue Road, and Aston Road North, as St Mary,s school ran between Whitehouse Street and Avenue Road.

Interesting stuff as ever. I always assumed we "scratched" the Oxford game because we thought it would be a wasted journey as we would get hammered. Happy to see that the real reason is more noble.
