This Season's Accolades?
« on: February 05, 2021, 06:45:10 PM »
Just past the halfway point and the team have been widely applauded for their performances so far and for the all round improvement on last season. Individual accolades have already been won. Dean Smith was PL Manager of the Month in December - it's a long time since a Villa manager won that prize, Martin O'Neill I think. Some may still to be won - Super Jack has been arguably the Premier League's standout performer, with Gary Lineker already touting him for Player of the Season and I see Jack featured as the cover star on World Soccer too this month - can't remember another Villa player ever taking that honour. Of course, you win nothing in February. What might we have achieved by the end of May?

Not being relegated.
Respectable mid-table finish.
Pushing for a European place.

Good knowledge Andy_Lochhead_in_the_air, not one but eleven Villa players. Thanks for sharing!

I've just bought World Soccer with Jack Grealish in it.

Yup, back in 2010. I'm surprised, I thought Lambert might have fluked one for one of his rare patches of form.

7 Pages devoted to our Jack and a decent write-up too.
