Slightly tangental this, but am going to put it out there anyway in the hop it will have an impact.

I live in Penwortham, a small town just north of Preston. This week I had the shocking news that a family friend died in a plane crash in Ethiopia. He was only 25 and was working for an aid agency travelling to Nairobi for an international aid conference.

This Saturday there will be a tribute to Sam, who was a livelong PNE fan. I hope these cretins follow the minutes silence (even Blackpool fans have been great about this) but I have no confidence the morons in their away support will.

I watch probably more PNE games than Villa these days, and  will be there. I will report on how it goes. RIP Sam, a wonderful person that dedicated his short life to helping others.

So sorry for your loss pal. Been reading about this crash all week. Some things are bigger than football and I hope that they observe the silence

I reckon they will.

So do I.

The rivalry has gone too far. I grew up in Shard End/ Chelmesley wood / Shirley and most of my mates at school were Blues fans. Most were OK. My dad is Villa but grew up in Small Heath. My Grandad supported Blues but my other one supported Villa (glad I took the right path).  I see some of the comments on here and cringe. We are all Brummies and have more in common than not.

I just hope there are no knobheads at the PNE Blues game.

there’s a possibility we could meet them in a Wembley play off final

not a very big one admittedly but it is possible

I'll take that all day long...

If we get to playoff final a small club like Blues would be nice as we can have more of a ticket allocation.

Absolutely.  Do you think they would use clappers like Fulham?

I doubt they'd sell out their allocation.

Absolutely.  Do you think they would use clappers like Fulham they did against us in October 2017?
