Very pleased for Thomas. He has been in control of the Tour all the way through and has shown great calmness when attacked.

Seen nothing official but supposedly a policeman stood on the timing mat which caused the timing error.

Didn’t realise that not only was G the first man to win Alp d’Huez in yellow he was also the first British rider to win on Alp d’Huez.
