I thought Simon Stainrod played for and managed Falkirk, Dundee and Ayr United but after checking I discovered he was only a player at Falkirk. In the words of Meatloaf I suppose two out of three ain't bad.

What could me more romantic than lying back, relaxing in the bath thinking about Sam Allardyce?

This week i've watched lengthy interviews with John Gregory, Brian Little and Ian Taylor conducted by the Villa View Podcast. They're all on youtube and well worth watching. When feeling nostalgic  I tend to gloss over the Gregory era in favour of the Taylor, Atkinson and Little teams but by 'eck it sure brought back some good memories of that fantastic 98-00 period just listening to him talk again.

Yeah well done JG.  Not only do I like him simply for being a character, but after his illness a few years ago I'm pleased he's landed on his feet.
