I remember the South Yotkshire police escorting the buses. They were drrssed like a aparamilitary force. Sone of them were head to toe in black leather. Letting us into a pub milrs from anywhere. We had about two pints and then they came in aftet 15 mins and took glasses out of our hands and sheperded us back on to the buses. Deffinitely the bad old days. Great result though. But Regis, Batson and Carlton Palmer are hardly wilting wallflower or Uncle Tom-types, and they all condemned the comments whilst speaking positively about his character.

Just because they had once played for him, they didn't need to do that if they thought he was a racist oaf.
