Bit of a cop out again on the shirt colours. All they ever do is say they stick to the pantone.  In which case at some stage they got hold of the wrong pantone because the colour are clearly different to the bulk of the retro kits - they should be the only references they need.  And they are paying two people to maintain the incorrect colours.  Genius.

No mention of those ridiculous chant lyrics on the big screens. They need to stop now.

Indeed. Who on earth thought that was a good idea?

Presumably everyone involved in the pantones must be colour blind or just can't be arsed to raise it as an issue.

We run a very strict brand guideline colour match process.  Whilst we are acutely aware of colour variances this is wholly dependent on material uptake of colour and the brand manufacturer.  We test each garment very closely against our pantone references and we now have two people in our brand team helping amongst other brand challenges control colour.
So basically they use a "closest match" based on the materials used by the manufacturer rather than requesting a specific pantone colour? If the uptake of colour to the materials isn't an exact match then they use what is considered to be acceptable tolerances in the pantones requested.

There was also an assurance that supporter input would be sought into any badge redesign.
Good stuff...let's hope there is a redesign in the not too distant future  8)
