1982/1983 - we were excellent at home but awful away, although we did win this one on the road which wasn't bad going as the City Ground was a tough place to get 3 points.

I haven't watched the footage yet but if I remember correctly Danny Wilson scored for Forest. It might have been his debut and might even have been his only goal for them as he came and went pretty quickly. Peter Taylor had just left them and Cloughie had a bit of a very fast revolving door policy at the time with the likes of Wilson, Gary Megson, Trevor Christie, Willie Young and John Sheridan coming and going with their feet hardly touching the ground.

I have just watched it. I was right about Wilson. Nice bit of niggle between Withe and Swain in the goalmouth, a terrible lack marking on Withe for our first goal and his second was possibly technically the best he scored for us.

Not so long ago I looked at the league table for that season. Our home form was incredible, with a half decent away record, things could have been a lot different.
