I'd say shaw, and maybe Edwards if we include the wider area on reputation.

But as I've said before, it is very odd that for a conurbation of this size, Birmingham hasn't produced more top players

Depends what you mean by top players. It's just random and fortune nothing to do with an area specifically. Anywhere can put forward a player of top quality.
