Garde can go with his head held high and the good wishes of most of the fans.

Why are so many Villa fans wanting our first decent manager for years to walk away, have you all got some sort of fucked up football related stockholm syndrome?

To prove a point to the board I guess - classic cutting off nose to spite face.

To me, our only hope is somehow they get Garde to stay on through next season.  Promise him the moon.  He could SGTmkI v 2.0.

I agree.

The only thing that could make this season worse than it has already been would be Garde leaving.

Small Heath going up?

I don't give one tenth of one single shit about that lot, seriously. It's all about us.

I've said before, I'd rather not play them at all. It's their big game not ours

We were worse than shit, & Ayew's a pillock, but we haven't got our fair share of decisions either.  Noble MoM when he shouldn't have been on the pitch.

Ridiculous, we were on top until Ayew went off then I thought Remi had the players well organised, very hard to get a result with ten men for most of the game.

Anyone who reckons we were worse than shit clearly wasn't watching.

Perhaps I was harsh on the team as a whole, but maybe it was just me who saw Bacuna strolling around & not defending, & Richardson's appalling control.  No fault on effort, but not much quality.  It's all just so, so sad.

Jordan Ayew, thank you for putting the final nail in our coffin.
Hopefully you never pull on our shirt again and if you do then I hope our fans boo you any time you touch the ball so you are bombed out of our club as soon as possible. I have been following The Villa for nearly 50 years and have never ever slated a player of ours while the game is on but would make an exception in your case. You are a prime example of a spoilt brainless overpaid shitbag of a footballer who has aboslutely no understanding or conception of the sheer bloody hurt and heartache your sort causes to us. I hope your career nosedives down to nothing you complete and utter f**cking scumbag.

And that's my point the fans should be praying he stays, not exclaiming to everyone that they'll understand if he walks away.  I fucking won't, I'll be seriously pissed off just like everyone else should be.

Hmm, not sure I follow.

I'll understand if he leaves because he quite clearly has been fucked by the board. That doesn't mean I want it - far from it - I can just understand if it happens, because he has just cause.

I'm more complaining about the 'go with our best wishes' style comments but even the 'I'll understand if he walks' stuff I won't I want what's best for the club and him walking isn't that, reagrdless of how justified it may be, I want him and the players to decide to go out with a fight and set us up for a summer of building to come back first time, we're clearly down so lets think about what we need in August and for me Garde in the dugout is on that list.  For that reason I want him to stay and he won't have my best wishes or understanding if he leaves, he'll be another in a long list who put themselves before the club.

Exactly the sort of ridiculous over reaction that was pissing me off earlier in the thread.

Fuck me, 2 more Veretouts instead of Bacuna and Westwood and we would have a midfield.
Veretout plus 2 traffic cones would be better than those two useless twats.

What about playing the McGregor statue up front against Norwich instead of Flabby Agbonlabollocks? I think we'd get better movement and ball control and he'd certainly stand a better chance of scoring!

Talking seriously, Gabby should have been put out to grass years ago and his continued overpaid presence at the club shines a light on the sentimentality and ineptitude that has eaten away at the club like a cancer these last five utterly dreadful years. He's been taking the piss out of us for a long time and while he was once a good player, any half decent coach would have weeded him out long ago. Ditto countless other mediocrities still clinging on to the club like slugs and limpets.

We've become a laughing stock, rather like a pissed up and clapped out old uncle at a wedding prattling on about the good old days. An utter embarrassment, stinking out the Premiership. I say this with a sadness in my heart because I love the Villa and have followed them for 53 years. But I hate Lerner's Villa, the bastard child of a criminally useless owner. I don't recognise them as my Villa. Colourless, clueless, spiritless, owned by a stayaway American and run by an American hopelessly out of his depth. The players are people I can't relate to or admire. Nobody wants to play for us and nobody wants to watch us. Lerner's Villa is effectively dead. It's over.

Who can give us our club back and how far will we sink before someone does? I haven't the faintest clue but it's getting very very scary for my beloved Villa now.
