Gabby's trouble was he put on too much muscle bulk thinking he needed to deal with the physical stuff better, why MONs coaching team didn't stop him is a mystery to this day and he consequently started to pick up niggling muscle strains. Ultimately it's led to him losing his pace as well. Houllier alluded to it when he was here but nothing got done under him or TSM1 or 2. Finally someone on Sherwoods team is getting something done about it and hopefully we'll see the slimmer and more flight of foot Gabby back this year.

Richardson is a useful squad player I think.

Cissoko, Tonev, N'Zogbia look likely departures.  Herd has already left I thought?

i spoke to someone who knows herd and they reckoned he was being given literally a week by week contract (so he was insured) to prove he was fit.

Can't we just give Tonev away? Surely there's some idio...club that would take him?  Throw N'Zog in as take one and we'll chuck the other in free of charge.
