Seeing the list there, writ large, really does bring home the paucity of talent in depth in our quad.
While the teams we used to regard as our peers - Everton, Spppuuurrrrrs, Barcodes, etc - have strengthened, and continue to, we are looking like a sham of previous more illustrious seasons.
I am totally disheartened by it all.

Squad numbers don't mean anything, i don't understand why people get worked up about them.

Come on you know we have to make a big issue out of it, nothing will ever compare to when Marlon got number 9

I look at that squad and think, who would other teams in the league be looking at and thinking "I wish we had them". Other than Ron Vlaar, I don't think there's anyone.
