In front of 69208. The Villa scorers are Eric Houghton, Frank Broome,Frank Shell, and Ronnie Starling. Fred Biddlestone was in goal and the great George Cummings had Stan Matthews in his pocket as he always did!
Im fairly sure my dad is shown in the shot Doc has used for his post. If it is him (and Im sure it is) it's at the Witton End and he is wearing a flat cap at the bottom of the picture and looking concerned.

For some reason, I love any piece of commentry where we get referred to as "The Villa".
