I missed this. Well, attending it. I used to play gaelic football and we should have had a game that day but in typical GAA fashion, our opponents failed to show up and the match was officially forfeit unfortunately too late to make it to Villa Park but I did at least make it home in just in time to see Gordon Cowans open the scoring.

I missed it because my brother had glandular fever, and my miserable old man said I was too young (12) to go with our mate from up the road (16).

I was there that afternoon on the Holte End. Still have the full video of a great game. Match was live on ITV I recall. Happy days, unlike now.....
