Almost a reverse of previous season, not so good up to December, really really good for the rest of it apart from the most disappointing FA Cup final ever. Dreadful Villa kit I have to say. Paul Merson really started to find his groove here and set the standard we'd see from him for the rest of his Villa career. Look out for the Leeds 3-2 cup tie, a couple of goals from rookie Richard Walker (whatever happened to him) and an amazing 4-2 at Tottenham where Alan Wright scored one of the greatest goals that hardly anyone ever seems to talk about.
