I like normal hand clapping,
especially when the attendance is announced, I love it when everyone claps that

Me too. I also like to shake the hands of those around me.

You'd have had a job today. By the time they announced the attendance there were about 300 home fans left!

There was an exodus from the Holte when their 3rd goal went in, most likely people deciding they needed to secure half time alcohol.

Yep, if you'd have switched the TV on with 5 mins to go you could've been forgiven for thinking we had to play this match behind closed doors!

I hate those clapper things too, and Narwwwich fans  look like they are fanning themselves when they use them.

I don't see much difference between a clapper and a rattle (which I never owned, but was always desirous of). Disappeared circa 1969.

I think Small Heath were the first to introduce these little monstrosities.

According to Nev on the previous page it was Fulham.

Small Heath had them at one time when they were in the Premier League. The Brady Bunch saw them in use at Fulham and replicated it for the next home game.

They weren't very popular though, they had BCFC written where SOTV should've been.

If Small Heath have such wonderful passionate support why on earth do they continue with gimmicks like this?
It's almost like they're lying to us....

Sunday was the second time this season that the pre-half time exodus was so marked that I left on the stroke of half time and walked straight to the bar because everyone had already been served!
