Not sure if this has been posted before. The glory and thuggery of that night in Birmingham. Also the first match I stood on the Holte as we were always in the seats.

What a bunch of animals they are a complete contrast from the present Barca side.
How Peter With kept himself from chinning that number 3 I don't know.

Their player had already been booked, gets chipped and jumps and grabs the ball 2 handed and the commentator said that it was a harsh second yellow!!

There was some real aggression that night - we were no angels either as Withey shows! Always love the McNaught "fisticuffs" bit after the penalty - he is so obviously enjoying the physical battle he seems oblivious to the more "creative" members of the team getting battered and just wants more fun!

When people talk about our team from the early eighties they tend to overlook how hard the likes of Evans, McNaught and Withe were. The likes of Mortimer, Bremner and Cowans all knew how to look after themselves too.
