Viagogo - how does it work ?
« on: October 13, 2013, 07:15:43 PM »
Hi and sorry to detract from the sticky.

As a potential buyer , how does Viagogo work when the season tickets at VP are a credit card style ?

It's not as though you can post a paper copy and forget about it ?

Would love to know from those who have used the service . Cheers.

I've sold two lots of tickets this season. I'm a season ticket holder and my seats are linked to viagogo. You enter your reference number when you register. When I sell tickets on viagogo, my season ticket card is cancelled for that game. I suppose buyers are either posted tickets or can print off their own.

I've done quite well really. I sold two tickets for Liverpool for £54 each (netted about £95 after seller fees) and also 2 x Everton for £46 each (netted £81). I feel like a right ticket tout.

I think it's a racket, but I suppose it's worked for me.

When you buy a seat for a game that is normally a ST, the ST is cancelled for that game. You cannot enter the ground using the ST. If you buy early enough a paper ticket is posted to you. If it is too close to the game you collect a paper ticket from the Trinity ticket collection point on the day of the game.
