I still think 35 points and that will be enough to keep us up although risking it with the goal difference.

Basically I think we need 4 points from Newcastle-Westham, 5 points from QPR-Reading-Liverpool games, 4 points from Fulham-Sunderland home games in April and then two draws from somewhere else, maybe Norwich and then Wigan on the last day.

I think we need 38 at least .

Wouldn't read too much into qprs cup result- they put basically a reserve team out and i think harry will be happy to concentrate on the league.

To be fair though, shipping 4 at home to a league 1 side isn't going to inspire good feeling amongst anyone connected with that club regardless of who they put out.

I live near QPR and bumped into loads of fans streaming out of the game yesterday after an hour. They reckon that not only are they doomed they will also finish bottom.

I'd take a bet with anyone that no one will be relegated on 38 points.

Last season Bolton went down on 36.

Think it might be a year where the 3rd relegated clubs all finish on 33 or 34 points say...

17th Us 35 points
18th Wigan 34 points
19th Reading 34 points
20th QPR 33 points

Nightmare final day in store anyway.

I wouldn't read anything into the points total.

That's why I don't understand why people get hung up about needing 6 wins or whatever.

We need to, at the very least, match what the three teams below us do. With the fixtures we have, our fate ought to be very much in our own hands.

Maybe.  But we have to win tonight if we are to halt the slide.  It will ease the pressure and send the vultures off to circle the magpies for a week or two.

There will be shock results along the way - as in qpr winning at chelsea, it will be nip and tuck all the way from here, a win tonight is vital.

I think it's crucial to get 7 out of 9 in the home games against Newcastle, QPR & Fulham. Lose one of them and we're well and truly f*cked. Thank God we're not playing any of them tonight...............

Hmm I felt the same.
And tonight annoying. Not even a point after our second half fight back!
And then finding out Wigan and QPR draw!
