I've been out the last month of saturdays with the Mrs and a friend. By the time it gets to 5pm, we're in the car on the way home from where-ever. Magic FM is always on.
They get to the footy results...
...We're never...NEVER...mentioned. When we played Wigan and Blackburn, I wondered whether it was because Magic was a London region station or something but even playing Fulham and Arsenal, we weren't mentioned. Some of the other shite matches they've mentioned scores for is ridiculous too!
Now 2 years ago, though we've never been too fashionable, I'm sure our scores would have been given, especially playing Arsenal. But now we're so piss-poor, so average, so forgettable. I don't even like the fact that us being a joke has worn off. We're just totally forgotton and it's not just Magic (3 CD's on a loop) FM that have done it. The media gives less of a shit about us than they ever did.
Not only that but we suck those around we play into a void of nothingness. It's rare Arsenal don't get their score mentioned but they didn't yesterday.
