Having seen him at Goodwood this year he is the best as far as I know. My old man has been watching horse racing all his life and he was choked up.  The atmosphere reminded me of watching Seve in the Ryder Cup at the Belfry. You knew you were witnessing a once in a lifetime sporting legend. Yes for me.

He certainly seems to be.

They debated this on Radio Five on Thursday. Couldn't seperate him, Brigadier Gerard, Mill Reef, Dancing Brave and Secretariat.

Certainly the horse of my lifetime.

He's good but is he that much better than See the Stars?

Apparently he will make £100,000 a time as a stud.
One fucking expensive rent horse.

At £10 million in total that makes 100 shots before he is turned into glue.

My thoughts as well - but I think it's the way Frankel does it; it seems so easy. However, in 3 years time meet 'son of Frankel'.

Yesterday showed why sport is great.

From memory, which can be suspect these days. over a mile the only horse I can think of that might beat Frankel was the great Brigadier Gerard.

Over a mile and a half then Dancing Brave, Secretariat, Sea the Stars, Bering, Montjeu and Peintre Celebre, Allez France at their best might all be in with a shout, particularly Dancing Brave.

Frankel's return to the winning enclosure on Saturday was one of those sporting moments that will live with me for a long time.

And he doesnt just win, he totally destroys the field.  I think his average winning margin over the 14 races is 3 lengths or something.

They're talkng over here about putting him into stud with Black Caviar - can you imagine the cost of their offspring.

Often his reputation has scared off meaningful competition though.
