The best game in my Villa supporting life (1986 - now). Best atmosphere I've ever experienced at Villa Park. Chants being started from all stands rather than just the Holte. The last great day of the Holte End (standing) IMO. That was a great cup run - I went to every game except Arsenal away in 4th(?) round. Blues gave us a good game home and away in the 2nd round but we scored late winners in both. 3rd round battering at Sunderland but Bossie was brilliant and we somehow won 4-1. Spurs at white hart lane in the QF - nothing could go wrong. Tranmere semi - all over 3 down in first leg then Dalian pops up with a late goal. Then we beat the double winning Man U easily in the final. BFR's finest moment at Villa. Whatever happened to Graham Fenton? Oh for that kind of hope and optimism now
