I've been watching BBCs Match of the 70s on youtube the last few days and in the 1974-75 season it shows a few clips of a game held to raise funds for the victims of the Birmingham Bombings. Joe Mercers Midlands XI v England.
What if any Villa representatives played in this game ?

I was 14 and at the game, at the back of the Kop(?) with my bluenose school mates. Unbeknown to me one of them grassed me up for being Villa to his headcase older brother before the game and apparently he spent all game looking for us so he could kick the s**t out of me.
During the minute silence a kid next to me started shouting and a copper smacked ME around the head.
Wouldn't get away with that now, mores the pity really.
