Don't think it's worthy of a new thread, but looking at the players we have at the moment we are tight on the 25 man squad ruling with some of our "youngsters" now over 21 years old.

Guzan
Marshall
Dunne
Clark
Cuellar
Collins
Warnock
Young
Beye
Lichaj
Lowry
Makoun
Petrov
Bannan
Downing
Herd
Hogg
Delph
Ireland
Albrighton
Agbonlahor
Heskey
Bent

So that is 23 players there, and there are another couple in the reserves (Parish & Roome)

Players under 21 do not need to be registered.

So you could unregister Guzan, but of course we'd then be paying him for absolutely nothing at all.

I expect a few of them players (Lowry, Herd, Hogg) will find themselves out on loan. Add to that any players we can (hopefully) get rid of.

Don't home grown players count differently, irrespective of age? I thought they wouldn't constitute the same 'score' as say a petrov

Nope.

25 man squad not including those under 21 of whom we can use as many as we like.

If these three have to go out on loan again it does raise the question of whether they are really good enough.
Re player offloads - I cannot imagine Heskey being in our squad come August 13th.
