Some friends of ours have asked if they can borrow a Villa tie for the funeral of a long-standing Villa supporter, Gordon Dawson, of Blue Lake Road, Dorridge.

Gordon was 71. I did not know him; although I may have done but not realised it. I have let one of Gordon's neighbours take his pick of my ties for this funeral as the family want everyone to wear Villa ties.

Up the Villa, Gordon. Have a good journey.

Don't think I knew Gordon, but RIP.

Hope all goes well at the funeral tomorrow.  Like the Villa tie touch, I think I'd like that at mine, not that I'm planning on going just yet.

Do you know whereabouts he sat at the ground?
