I've previously pointed out this 'scam' to quite a few of my mates.
American owners, American business practices.

Brilliant final sentence.

I wonder if building around the existing structure of the North Stand is a proof of concept for extending the wings of the upper Trinity?  I reckon if it was squared off it would add a couple of thousand seats.

I wonder where the other 4k are going to be. I hope there's no gap-filling bullshit planned.

Another 2k. We’re going up to 45k next season before building this.

But wouldn’t it look strange compared to the other side which isn’t ?

He did say wings plural, so presumably means both left and right side.

I suppose that would be the easiest way to do it that end. Get rid of the pavilion.

And don’t forget - as I first noticed 😉 - Trininity being changed from three tiers to two in the plans.

I presume that is the part of the plan that gets us up to 50k. It’s where the seats to get to 52.5k come from that’s difficult. If it was possible to square off Trinity Road then that would make sense to me, but seems like it would be a lot of expense for not much increase. The alternative is a rebuild of Witton Lane, but presumably that’s a much bigger job and in reality that’s the only opportunity we have to get the capacity up by a much more significant number.

There's plans to add 1500 onto the capacity by making the middle and lower tiers of the Trinity a single tier. They're in the New North plans.

Look at the render in his post. Gives the impression they’re making the bottom two tiers into one by getting rid of that rather large divide across the middle.

They could extend the Holte over the road on the Trinity side and square it off and. Add a few thousand, take exec boxes on that same corner on the Trinity out too.
