Christ, some of you are so harsh on Ollie. He’s stepped up tonight, scored and got an assist. He’s not the problem.

I suppose he is when we need 3 goals to even have a look at 3 points these days. If we could defend better, then we wouldn't need him to do much more, although having someone score more then once in a game would be a novelty these days.

We’ve struggled all over the pitch this season. Our defence, the midfield and scoring goals. It’s a little harsh calling one of the players who’s done very well for Villa since he’s been here a wanker.

I never agreed with that statement. Just that currently we can't afford the big misses when we need three goals a game. And especially when we haven't got Duran to get at least one of them.

I know you didn’t and wouldn’t either.

We’ve been lacking all over the pitch this season in consistency, quality and we’ve been making errors everywhere. If it’s not Ollie, it’s Konsa, Torres, Onana, Kamara, Martinez. It’s been one of those seasons. Luckily we are a good team and we still get some very good performances in between.

I keep hoping Bailey finds those magic feet of his, or our midfield start chipping in with goals or we keep a clean sheet. For some reason it’s just not clicking into place.
