Injuries don't explain why Diaby is playing like a drain or why Emery keeps playing Konsa at right back.

Konsa played RB when we beat Man City and Arsenal. He probably is playing there at the moment because Cash was out injured for a period recently and now that Cash is back he is plugging a gap in midfield where we are to the bare bones.

Cash played right-back in the first leg.

That went well.

Exactly, Cash’s form has been intermittent, Emery seems to have concerns over him. Its an urban myth that every game Konsa plays right back is a failure, I still prefer him at CB, but he also played there in the 1st leg, which as you say went well.

Diaby was also our best player in the 1st leg.
