Agree with everything you wrote, we are unbalanced in the quality, two or three, on performance, world class, three or four middle of the table players like McGinn and the rest not good enough for where we want to go. If you want a blue print for quality study Coutino.

Good piece Dave

The midfield is unbalanced as you say, McGinn is on the right which is not suiting him as he is left footed so seems to struggle - but on the left is young Mr Ramsey who is playing exceedingly well, so what can you do.

If we had the DM we all craved for then Doug/Ramsey/McGinn could rotate, as it is though we play with a lack of balance as they are the best three we have in the middle.

I agree that we were weakened by the substitutions. Young is hardly an adequate replacement for Coutinho and Chukwuemeka hasn't offered much more than the odd moment of skill so far. Having Traoré and Bailey back will help, but a top-six team needs stronger replacements.
