We will play five at the back, none of our "recovered" players will start, Smith-Rowe will score and celebrate by kissing the badge, and we will lose.

I’ve a feeling we’ll lose this.

Arsenal started well against Palace the other night, then after about 20 minutes Palace took control. Arsenal were shite & are shite. They are there for the taking, it's a question of whether we can take advantage of that or not.

Their defence & the protection they get from the midfield are awful. Pressurise them from the off & we'll be OK.

None of this 5 at the back, please.

This is the most Aston Villa thing ever.

Don't reckon it'll be 3 nil this time, but I'll settle for a 3-1 Villa win.

Targett is never a wing-back. It's that simple. We need to go back to 433.

Targett isn’t a wing back, Cash isn’t a wing back, the central defenders don’t know what they’re doing in a three and Ings and Watkins can’t play together as pairing. Other than that the formation has been a rip-roaring success.

I'll disagree with you about Cash. He's had two seasons of acquitting himself as a high-energy full back, prior to which he was an actual winger. He's made for the role.

Targett is definetely not a wing back.  Cash is much more in that mould.  Funnily enough I got epic amounts of grief last season for saying this exact point..! Cash always looks to me like a yellow card waiting to happen when he slides.  I'm hoping for some evidence of the classic bouncebackability tonight.  Hoping to see Tarore, but would be relieved to have Bailey rested, I am convinced his current quad injury was caused by not enough build up from his hamstring injury.  He seems to have only one pace to play at...flat F'in out!

And so it came to pass.
