I had a programme from the away game which my dad brought back but is was newsprint as opposed to a conventional format and has long since disintegrated.

That is the one I'm after - the newspaper print. I don't think a conventional one ever appeared.
What condition is it in now? I'll happily take it off you if you don't want it.

It's current condition is unknown as I haven't been able to find it. I have a terrible feeling my Mum threw it out when I was at university. What is really galling is I had two originally and gave the other away to another Villa fan at junior school at the time.

Just a thought Dan, maybe drop Rob Bishop a email.
It may lead to somewhere.
Good luck.

I bought one from a programme dealer based in Lichfield , think his name is Paul Hill, he sells on Facebook marketplace. It's the newspaper special , I think this doubled as the "programme". He said they come now and againon eBay too.

One has just come on ebay now mate. How much did you pay from Paul Hill out of interest?
