Villa v Everton 1999/00
« on: August 23, 2019, 07:29:45 AM »
Just over 20 years ago we played Everton in an early season evening kick off.

3 great goals, let's hope for a similar result tonight.

Think we went top that night after winning at Newcastle the game before. Horrible kit.

I couldn't go to that game. I was out in Australia getting married. My first game back and the first Villa game I took my wife to was the cup defeat to Fulham. I think the Fulham game was the first of eleven games without a win.

That was the season before. You may be thinking  of the previous home game with Everton, we won that  one 3-0 as well and  I think it was the last game we won before that bad run.

I must have mixed up the year of the game. I am pretty confident I know which year I got married.  ;)
