Football Aid 2019

Does anyone know why we don't do this any more?

I had one of the times of my life when I took part in 2008. Great experience.

I also played in it (2005 from memory) and loved it, wanted to get my eldest son the chance to play but seems to have stopped. I think Unibet do something similar as a competition or for the Lions clubs, but it would be great to have it back. Tony Morley was the legend on my team with Gary Shaw as our manager...amazing to be in the home dressing room with those 2

Football Aid still takes place but not at VP. The nearest ground is the Sty and I doubt I'd want to take part there!

My brother and I did it in 2005 and don't recall there being a legend on either team.  We had Ray Graydon as manager (away kit).   Morley may have been manager for the home kit team, can't remember.  Almost got crippled by some twat diving in late and two footed, red card nowadays, didn't even get a foul. Still got the shirt and shorts and they are still about 8 sizes too big for me.

Ours were Chris Nicholl and Charlie Aitken. I also still have the entire kit they provided.

Our legend was Pat Heard.
