If arbitrary decisions are now being made about which round of fixtures get the full allotted time, then I'm an advocate of going down the route other sports have.  The duration of every game is determined by a clock on the screen that is stopped everytime there is a stoppage in play.
Far too sensible.

When the clock on the old Witton Lane stand showed 20 to 5, the ref blew up.
Modern football is rubbish.

Hi Mr Lockhead, do you remember the Argus (sp.) that came out rapidly on a Saturday evening in 'pink' with all the footie scores?

It would be 'fecked' these days!!

There should be a representative of each club and an official available to agree the added time (with an explanation for each portion added) so that everyone knows and understands what's going on. I know there's a chance a team won't agree, but at least the discussion and explanation will be there.
NO.

We lived in Halesowen and the van with the evening edition used to pass us on the way home.

A good read Dave. Well summarised and the “Immaculate” assessment of Tyrone Mings is spot on.

Mings was awesome last week too, he's playing out of his skin at the minute. Talk of 'McGrath like' on the match thread and it's justified, he should absolutely be first choice for England alongside Stones, never mind pissing about in the squad.

Some of that was me. In particular the commentary was remeniscent of McGrath Vs Italy. Mings was a mountain at the heart of our defence. Fantastic stuff.

NO.

There’s no way officials would dare to give equal weight to what the representative of Luton or Bournemouth were saying compared to the one from Liverpool or Man United.

All club representatives should get on with playing the game and leave the ref to ref. It would sort out most problems.

Whenever it was ref decisions become perceived as the greatest miscarriages of justice in history, I blame it on our species' lack of a natural and effective predator.
