There may be 35000 tickets "sold" but my guess is that the number of people in the ground on the day will be much less. I very much doubt more than half of our season ticket holders will actually attend - its not the greatest attraction.
Much as we will never know I doubt there will be more than about 28000 in the ground which will still be a great attendance

So regular and causal fans are snapping up tickets by the bucketload, due to attractive pricing and the likelihood of attacking, entertaining football, but season ticket holders, who go to every match and can attend at no extra cost, won't bother to turn up?

Sorry, don't agree. The place will be packed.

I think one of the things that puts people off* in the early rounds is feeling that they'll be sat dotted around in a sparse crowd. Knowing we're well on the way to another good gate will make a lot of people's minds up.

*maybe the wrong phrase. Makes them not that bothered about missing it is probably more apt.
