A lot of positive chat about Enzo going down a storm with Benfica. Apparently he's only a couple of games away from his loan move triggering a perm. We might have undercooked the fee...

One more game I think I heard on some pod or other.

This pining for a player we don't need and many of us have never seen is weird. If we underachieve this season, it almost certainly won't be because we only have seven central midfielders in the squad.

Sell him, and spend the cash on a position of need.

Agree with this, even if it would have been cool to have a player called Enzo.

Or we could have Enzo playing for us plus another 40m player rather than having Onana in the treatment room.

Would make sense as that's 15 for the season and for whatever reason that seems to be a number that you often see in these deals.

Clean sheet for Nyland in Norway’s 5-0 win over Israel, which should more or less get them to their first World Cup since 1998.

Fingers crossed. Even if Italy were to beat Norway in Milan next month, Norway's goal difference should be enough to see them keep top spot and automatic qualification. All things being equal, I intend to be in Norway to watch their opening games. Should be fun.

Yeah Italy's only chance is if Norway drop points at home to Estonia and that's not gonna happen.

There was a piece on Uncle Albert in the Times sport supplement on Saturday as well.

Time to retire Brad Guzan from this thread after the end of the MLS season.

He was okay for a bit, which is more than can be said for most players from that era.

Player of the season in 2012/3, despite all of Benteke's goals.

That double save shown above tells you why.
