I was in the lower trinity towards the witton end and had the pleasure of seeing that performance. It was truly amazing and one of my most memorable Villa moments, and I am old enough to know a few

I was there on the witton end best ever,  went down with a scouse mate I don't believe the Liverpool supporters  could believe how they were dismantled.  Apart from our magnificent performance I remember when they scored A big lad next me screamed " come on lads you've gotten on the run"  it was 5.1 then. I must admit it helped when they came and thumped us 6 .0last year in the premier, that I had been lucky enough to have been there40 years ago

I was there, without doubt the finest 45 minutes football that Villa have played in modern times.  This is my favourite photo from the game - hope it works.
